Is it your first time using SVB T&E or maybe you need a refresher? Let's take a tour of SVB T&E!
As a Spend user, you will have access to different pages and features depending on your role:
- Employee Role
- Admin Role
- Manager Role
Employee Role
All SVB T&E users have access to Employee role functionality.
As an Employee, when you log into SVB T&E, you will see your Personal Dashboard, which shows your cards and any transactions or expenses that need your attention.
Personal Sidebar
You can use the Personal sidebar to navigate to different pages within SVB T&E:
- Transactions: On this page, you will see transactions from any corporate or personal cards you have added to SVB T&E. You can add details to your transactions and submit them for approval on this page.
- Cards: On this page, you can see any cards you currently have added to SVB T&E, and Request virtual cards if your company is enrolled in a virtual card program.
- Reimbursable Expenses: This page allows you to add and submit reimbursable expenses, which are expenses that you have paid for yourself that your company needs to pay you back for.
- Go To Travel: This page opens to your Travel portal where you can book flights, hotels, and car rentals. When you book a trip, the invoice will automatically attach in your Receipts library in SVB T&E.
- Trips: On this page you can organize expenses by creating a Trip. Each Trip is assigned a name and a date range - any expense that falls within that range can be added to that Trip.
- Receipts: This page contains any emailed, uploaded, or stored receipts for you to attach to future expenses.
- Spend Policy: On this page, you can view your company's expense policy, which informs what you need to include in your expenses.
Personal Settings Page
Your Personal Settings Page page is where you can go to add a bank account, edit your email or password, adjust your notification settings, and view your bank transfer history.
To access your Personal Settings page, click your name in the top right corner and select Personal Settings.
Admin Role
As an admin, whenever you log into SVB T&E, you’ll find yourself on the Admin Dashboard.
You can use the Admin Sidebar to navigate to different pages within SVB T&E, as well as the Personal Sidebar.
Admins can also access the Company Settings page for any organization-wide settings.

Manager Role
If you are assigned as a Manager or have been included in an approval route then you will have access to the Manager sidebar.
You can use the Manager sidebar at left to navigate to different pages within SVB T&E:
- Card Requests: On this page, you will see all card requests from individuals you are marked as a manager for in Spend.
- Transactions: On this page, you will see all corporate card transactions from individuals you are marked as a manager for in Spend or that are routed to you according to approval rules.
- Reimbursable Expenses: On this page, you can view and approve reimbursable expenses from individuals you are marked as a manager for in SVB T&E or that are routed to you according to approval rules.
