The People page is where administrators manage their teams in SVB T&E. Admins can invite new employees, organize employees into groups, adjust user permissions, and deactivate accounts.
To access the People page, click People in your Admin sidebar.
Navigate the People Page
Anyone that you add to SVB T&E will appear on the People page.
You can use filters and search bar at the top of the page to locate members that meet certain criteria.
Invite People to Your Account
To invite people to your company's SVB T&E account, click Invite in the top right corner of the People page.
You'll need to send out a unique invitation, so that person can join the official company account. This could be employees, accountants or outside contractors. Each user will receive an email invitation and must use the link in the email to join the company account.

Edit An Employee's Profile
Click the pencil icon next to someone's name to view their profile settings, assign them a role as an admin or manager, and edit their Team Fields.
On an user's profile, you can:
- Assign them a role as an Admin, Manager, or Member, which determines their permissions in SVB T&E
- Add the person who should review their expenses in the Managed By field
- Add any delegates who should have access to submit transactions on the user's behalf
- Edit their Team Fields, which allow you to track additional information about each employee and associate that information with the expenses that they submit
Bulk Edit Profiles
You can select multiple people before performing a particular action. Actions may include granting admin status, assigning or changing managers, granting access to travel booking, deactivating accounts, or editing Team Fields. After selecting a user or group of users (either through individual selection or by selecting a group from the right hand menu), click on the pencil icon to take the desired action.
Note that you must check the box next to the item in order to make changes to that part aspect of the employees' profile:
Deactivate a User
Deactivating an employee in SVB T&E means that they can no longer log into their account. However, if they have outstanding expenses, they can still be paid out so long as there is still a bank account connected. Their historical transactions are also retained for your viewing / reporting. You can always re-activate an account.
To deactivate a user on the People page:
1. Click the trash can to the right of the user's record.
2. If the user has not yet activated their account, confirm that you would like to delete the invite. If the user has already activated their account, choose to deactivate the the user immediately or set a deactivation date and click Deactivate.
If the user you are deactivating is a manager, you should reassign or approve any expenses or card requests assigned to them for approval and assign new managers to their employees. See What should I do when I deactivate a Manager? to learn more.
Reactivate a Deactivated User
To view deactivated employees on the People page, set the Status filter to Deactivated.
To reactive a deactivated user:
1. Click the pencil to the right of the user's record.
2. Click Reactivate.
When the user is reactivated, they must log in using their previous password. If they do not remember their previous password they can trigger a password reset at any time by clicking on the Forgot your password? link on the login page.
